I've lived in the world of magazines for all of my career. In so many ways, the world of daily work often feels like a contracting circle full of monolithic companies squeezing the life and interest out of the business. But then something interesting shows up in my newsfeed that I never thought could happen. Or a client delivers a new issue and I open up the FedEx to find this beautiful new issue. I walk into a retail store (Yes, they still exist and many carry magazines.) and I see something brand new, or something that I didn't think was around anymore. My goal is to bring you five new (to me) things that I can share with you. Most of these will be about some aspect of the world of media each week. A few others may be media adjacent. Or they may be articles that I discovered that delighted, enlightened or otherwise engaged me. I may add in a few short opinion pieces of my own based on what I read or experienced. As the chefs say on "Chopped", "Please enjoy!"
