And now, summer is really here. Out this way in flyover country, a full on drought has turned spring lawns to an August burnt-out brown. Is there an upside? Sure, Lake Michigan has finally stopped its four year rise and we should be able to take a breather from worrying about floods.

It is not necessarily this way for all regional and city magazines and The Hamptons are a unique part of the country. The takeaway from this article really should be how absolutely necessary regional and city magazines can and should be to their communities.

Magazine covers are how a publisher lets the world know that they have something new for their audience to read and that what they have is really good. So it stands to reason that your goal as a publisher is to make sure each cover is really, really good.
